The platform

Built by Artemis Technologies. A heritage of excellence.

Artemis Technologies is a Belfast-based spin-off from the America's Cup team Artemis Racing, led by double Olympic gold medallist Iain Percy OBE. EF24 ferries have been delivered for service in Belfast and EF-12s operate worldwide as water taxis and workboats — the same platform behind the world's first fully electric hydrofoil pilot boat, launched in 2026.

At the forefront of clean maritime technology, Artemis has invested over £250m in maritime R&D — paving the way for a brighter, more sustainable future.

Mission
To help accelerate the maritime sector's transition to a cleaner, more sustainable future.
Operational, environmental & commercial analysis

World-leading maritime simulation. Every vessel modelled before it sails.

Artemis' digital-twin capability models vessel performance against your real operations and weather conditions — providing robust, transparent modelling of business case and viability before a single bolt is tightened.

Charging

Recharging, reimagined.

The vessel is only part of the solution. Artemis vessels are compatible with existing charging networks worldwide — and as part of the eFoiler® ecosystem, Artemis offers a range of charging solutions optimised for each platform and tailored to operator requirements.

Up to 360kW for the EF-12 range, 575kW for the EF-15 Escape range and 2,880kW for the EF-24 range. Standardised connectors — Type 2, CCS2 or MCS — so vessels can charge anywhere in the world.

44
kW, AC

Standard AC charging

EF-12 vessels charge from standard 22kW AC outlets, commonly available in marinas and ports worldwide. Two onboard inlets enable up to 44kW via twin Type 2 connectors — halving recharge time on shore power that already exists.

360
kW, DC

Artemis DC fast-charging

Supplied and installed by Artemis: 320–575kW DC fast-charging systems with shore-based boosters that supplement grid capacity. Fully recharges an EF-12 or EF-15 in around an hour. Compatible with EF-24 platforms.

2,880
kW, DC

High-Power Charging (HPC)

Highest-capacity Artemis systems in two versions — 1,440kW and 2,880kW — recharge a fully-electric EF-24 in around an hour. Containerised, MCS-connector, ISO-compliant; modular battery boosters cut grid draw 3× vs. direct-to-grid.

Standards-compliant. Artemis charging systems comply with DIN 70121, ISO 15118-2 Plug'n'Charge, and CHAdeMO 1.2 — meaning they can also recharge a range of road EVs.
CharIN member. All vessels use standardised connectors (Type 2, CCS2 or MCS). Artemis collaborates on evolving the standards to encapsulate unique maritime requirements.
UK Export Finance

Financing your vessel

From 15%down payment of contract value
5–7 yearstypical terms — potentially longer for strong credits
Complete packagevessel, delivery, training, spares & shore charging

Artemis vessels are designed and built in Belfast, which means a purchase by a Maldivian resort can qualify for buyer financing backed by UK Export Finance, the UK government's export credit agency. In practice that means a down payment from 15% of the contract value, with the balance financed over multi-year terms, typically five to seven years and potentially longer for strong credits, subject to credit approval. The facility can cover the complete package: vessel, delivery and commissioning, crew training, spares and the shore charging system. Repayments are then funded largely by the fuel the vessel stops burning. We work with buyers and their banks to structure this from the first conversation.
